I think a lot of them would quit once they realized what kind of fanbase they have to cater to.

I hope not. Can you you imagine? If they listened to Gamefaqs there would never be another FPS, all games would be developed by the Japanese, and we'd never get virtual reality. Because advancement in gaming is bad! You want change? Get off my property!
