I really wish I could understand all the love Dark Souls gets.

why?

would your life somehow be enriched by understanding something so trivial?

I did see a female Orc at Bellethor's General Store, buying a box of Redguards -RAGEface14, in a topic about Orc menstruation.

You are not the only one Fo. I did not enjoy Demons souls either(have not played Dark Yet).
I played 3 different types of characters...Mage, Fighter, and an Archer and i put atleast 3 hours each into them to see if i could get into it and it honestly felt like a waste of time. Just just could not get into the game...and the entire time i was playing i felt like i could have been playing something better...to each his own i guess.

In every person there are 2 dogs fighting...one Good and one Evil. The one that wins is the one you feed the most.

There are two types of RPGs.

Adventure driven ones.
Gameplay driven ones.

Dark Souls is definitely a gameplay driven one. The story is very subtle, subtle enough to be ignored. It's more like a roguelike more than anything else. If you don't like gameplay driven RPGs, this game is probably not for you.
