Any other games like guacamelee on the ps3?

I have to say this game has been a blast to play. One of the best platformers I have played in a long time. Love how you acquire new abilities and return to previous areas to find hiddens chests and secrets!! Some of the puzzles and platforming segments are insanely thought out.

I also love castlevania symphony of the night.

Are there any other games that I am missing out one that are like these on the ps3?

Yeah I love the gba and ds castlevanias.
Not too keen on the 3ds one though.

I'm going to look up megaman zx. I played x and didn't know a zx existed lol.

Get the Mega Man Z collection. All 4 games in one sweet package. I wouldn't say they play like Metroidvania's though. It's pretty much one to the end of a level and kill a boss.

In MMZ1 the levels themselves are ridiculously easy and pretty much devoid of platforming, but the bosses will whip you good. I must have died 30 times to the first one.
The sequels introduce a bit more platforming though, and they up the challenge of the actual level as well.

zx is the spiritual successor for the megaman zero series (which is also kinda like a metroidvania)

i dont think the 3ds has a metroidvania yet...

also resident evil revelations has a metroidvania map system (basically roadblocks that cant be passed until you trigger an event, item, power etc)
^ but its a third person game and not a 2d one
