Will your saves from the digital version still work? And what about trophies?

a digital copy is the exact same game as a retail version....just with no disk.

Glad DmC shipped a million copies and was a success. Supporting risk-takers and change is how the industry grows.

Ok, thanks. I was just curious to know if the system treated the physical and digital copies as two different games.

Actually, it depends on the game. Usually the digital version allows using a game save from a physical copy. Unfortunately there are some game saves that do not work with both the physical & digital versions. Burnout Paradise is one example. I heard that one of the Ratchet & Clank games (don't recall which game) has the same problem.

Ultimately look into the particular game you're interested in to find out if it's game save is compatible with both versions.

This, there's a lot of games that the saves don't work, Black Ops 2 for example was one that A LOT of people were upset about their saves not working between digital and physical.

It depends on the game.

The Sly Cooper Trilogy i.e. doesn't share saves.

Absolutely stupid decision from the developers.

Wipeout HD doesn't share saves. You should check the serials codes (BCES, BLES etc.) before purchasing a game.
