Ok so, I've noticed that I can buy old PS1 games and PSP games and was wondering if the PSP games play on the PS3 and the PS1 games on the PSP. What I mean is, when I buy a PS1 game like Xenogears, can I play it on a PSP and how? Similarly, if I buy a PSP game can I play it on the PS3? Do I have to connect the PSP to the PS3 and download the game to the PSP somehow? How does all this work? I've also noticed some PSP games like FF4 only list PSP and Vita as playable on those. Will it not play on PS3? Sorry if its so confusing.

There are a few PS1 games that aren't compatible on PSP.

All the PS1 games will play on PS3.

No PSP games will play on PS3.
