Downloads freezing

I'm having troubles downloading purchases from the store and game updates. Sits at 0% and sometimes on backing out the console will lock up.

I tried the safe mode option 3 and resetting modem/router (hardwired). Didn't help.

This is happening on both of my consoles. Not sure if firmware 4.41 is a factor, it's only a couple days old.

Any tips or info to solve this would be greatly be appreciated.

It's possible that the server you're trying to download from is congested. Trying again later might help.

I'm thinking server related as well. Internet browser, youtube, and online gaming all working.

It's hit or miss. Every other game download or update is working. Game updates get to 75% and I get error message 800233E8 or 800233EC.

Batman AC failed 3 times.

One fix I read about said to turn off the automatic time set, manual set the time, and turn daylight savings time to off. Batman AC updated after that.

Not sure if this actually fixed it though.

I had the same issue a few months ago. After I did this fix, I haven't had a problem since.

Thanx for the link.

Tried that and it didn't help. Time thing didn't work either.

I'm stumped.

Here's what finally worked. In case anyone else is having troubles with these errors.

Steps:
1. unplug PS3 from wall outlet
2. unplug power cord from back of the console
3. reset modem/router
4.plug power cords back in

Downloads and updates are working now.
