Is Skyrim as dull as people say?

Or it's just:

1- The JRPG and Souls fanboys that plague the board

or

2- They are just angry that the game launched buggy on PS3.

Probably both of those.

It's OK, though the quests are all around worse than Oblvion's.

I bought it some days ago. No glitches or problems so far, and the game is enjoyable.

Let me guess, WoW style quests. I gotta admit those were kinda repetitive.

both....

Gameplay is alot better than Oblivion....and Skyrim is about immersion, if you like exploring stuff it's really great! The graphics also much improved than Oblivion and Fallout. It's really a fun game and a rediculously a lot of things to do...you can really get side track by the amount of optional quests there are.

But i played on PC so i don't know how PS3 version is. I think it's an experience worth trying.

Quite dull and besides graphics it's a step back in almost every way from Oblivion.

Only after you complete the main game it starts to get a bit boring.

it's not dull. but I can't really say it does anything really spectacularly except for customization.
The combat is fine
alchemy is fine

really, if there was one phrase if I could describe skyrim's gameplay
it'll be that"it's a jack of all trades and a master of none"

... though the quests are a stepback from oblivion.

lf you like open world RPG's and a Fantasy setting then it's pretty much one of the top games for you. Especially now that all the bugs are fixed. Although, there is some Ultimate Edition coming out in June with all the DLC on it so l'd wait for that.

I would say most of the people that hate on Skyrim fall into category 1. I guess I would fall into category 2.

I bought the game at launch but got rid of it shortly after that partly because I was sick of dealing with all the bugs and partly because I hate how dumbed down the game was compared to the previous games in the series.

I think the more casual gamers will love the game. I enjoyed my time with it when it was working, but I felt it was a huge step back for the series.

If you are interested in the game I would hold off a little longer. Chances are that they will release an ultimate edition since they did that with the last two Fallout games.
