Won't matter in performance.
Don't Starve (PC), Okami HD (PS3), Gears Judgement (360), Dungeon Defenders (AND), ACIII: Liberation (VITA)

Also, it's pretty much in the same category of Point & Click/ Adventure games. I mean, I didn't see too many people complaining about Walking Dead or anything.

Certainly a lot more advanced than your standard Japanese visual novel, which still is stuck in the 90's era of design with non moving static 2D portraits and not much in the realm of choice.
I think Time Travelers (not even localized) Virtue's Last Reward (3DS/Vita) and Another Code R (Wii EU) represent the furthest in design evolution their genre has gone so far...

oMfG!!!! PS4 tech!!!!1 thats like some new alien technology recovered from a crashed UFO!!!!111

oh wait, the PS4 is just a mid-range PC, and its "tech" is made with the same tools used to make the "tech" for every other game console.

TC probably used to brag that his N64 had twice as many "bits" as the PS1.

One thing about VN, it certainly isn't bogged down with QTEs, I'm not sure how I felt about Beyond2Souls, I hated indigo prophecy, heavy rain is really just terrible once you finished it and realized all the plot holes it has.

I'd take a good visual novel over any garbage David Cage has ever made. 999 and Hotel Dusk > Heavy Rain.
