With the Extended Cut, the ending is fine and much more clear. No clue why this is still an issue.

Because the choices still mean nothing which is the killing joke of the series

Also it still doesn't solve a great deal of the plot inconsistencies or the metaphysical shenanigans in a series that previously at least attempted to introduce compelling explanations for stuff rather than blatant space magic.

I have to ask, what space magic was there in the end of Mass Effect?

People say that, and I don't see that.

Also, they never really give a compelling explanation for Biotics, you know, literal space magic.

I don't really mind people complaining about the ending, but it annoys me when they say BS stuff like that, or they claim about stuff contradicting when it doesn't(Joker landing Normandy 2.5 on Earth, etc).

Something to do with Element Zero, if I remember correctly. Always thought of it as 'Radiation that turns you into a super powered person.'

Biotics were abilities that came naturally to Asari through their own genetics and to a lessor extent, Krogan (Since Wrex had some abilities).

Humans gained Biotics through science, implants, and element zero.

Yes, some might call it "space magic" but hey, thats why Mass Effect is a work of fiction and nobody at Bioware/EA ever called it "real life 400 years from now".

I don't have a problem with it being there. I'm just saying that the ending doesn't involve space magic, and even if it did, there's a precedence with it because of Biotics.
