I know its not the best but I was surprised how different it was,

I dont think its that bad, I'm enjoying it :)

I recently re-bought it on the PS+ sale... it's much better after patches.

It's decent, I just don't think its a particularly good RE game. I don't flat out hate it with all my being like a number of people I know, though.

I'm still holding out on the chance there might be some sort of a gold edition, but I will get it at some point.

I have mixed feelings on it. Even though Leon's story was the closest to playing like the original RE games I still despised it for the story. Just too many idiotic moments that I don't feel like going into at the moment.

I didn't care for the gameplay in Chris's story or how they handled the character but I did like the concept. It makes sense from a story perspective that a military unit like that would be created to handle such a situation and that Chris would join it.

Jacob (I think that was is name) just annoyed me. They were really trying too hard to make him seem like a badass. He was also connected to the earlier games with my least favorite part of them. The boss that hounds you but you can never kill until the end of the game.

Overall I thought it was an awful RE game but an okay action game.

I would have liked Chris's story a LOT better if it hadn't been Chris, but some unknown until now soldier who'd suffered that. I agree with you on everything though.
