I really want to get that DOOM Classic Collection on PSN, but after the whole hacking and credit card getting stolen through PSN, I'm not sure.

I haven't heard anything about a new incident. I'm pretty sure you're just referring to the previous big incident for which they gave away some free games to appease people.

In any case, it's safe to use prepaid psn cards. I wouldn't dare use my CC on any gaming console.

well, around that time, someone started using my credit card number to make online purchases.

I mean, it may have been a coincidence.

Just get yourself a psn card. Since the whole hacking incident I've only used psn cards. Though psn does let you use paypal now so you could always use that too as a safe alternative.

Same here. Fool me once, shame on you...you know the saying. Ever since I've just stuck to PSN cards just to be safe. Besides, it helps you control impulse buys a lot more.

I just got another CC with a max credit limit of $200 a month that'll warn me when it's at $100 and freezes completely at $200. Worse case scenario they steal it and spend a great big pile of maybe $40 from me before I notice. And it's insured so meh. Lol, I feel it's the best way to go for OL purchases.

I still don't believe most people on gamefaqs are even gamers. Just assuming they are embodiments of hate and stupidity taking digital form.
