PS3 Video Watching Formats

#1BaaPuffPosted 5/5/2013 2:20:53 PM
I have a bunch of .flv videos saved on my computer that i would like to watch on my PS3. I'm guess that they have to be converted to another video type. but, I don't know what video formats the PS3 would use. How can I go about doing that? I'm grateful for any help I can get.

Alright and what do I need to do to watch them on the PS3? I'm guessing I could load them on a USB Flash/Thumbdrive and plug those into the PS3's controller ports.

I don't know, I've never done this before and would really appreciate the help.

Well first you would have to convert them to .avi or .mp4. Then it's a simple matter of loading them onto a flash drive and playing them from there, or if you have enough space, you would copy them directly from the drive to your ps3

If you ever need to use a converter, download XviD4PSP. It can be used for any type of platform besides what it was named after (the PSP). That way you can convert videos to AVI or MP4. I personally use MP4 because it compresses more and slightly better video quality.
