Anybody else not even close to ready for another gaming generation?

Nobody here has even finished playing all the SNES/Super Famicom generation.

I'm still discovering unknown games from that gen...

I'm done with SNES when I finally beat FF5. It's the PS2 games that are giving me fits...

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure SNES RPG was recently translated

Yeah....I still have that on my PC.I may try it again now that I can understand the plot now.

I'm still not ready for this generation. Too many BS practices going on.
If you're not going to share with the entire class, then don't bother sharing at all.
Online is the worst thing to happen to gaming.

I think it could last 3 or so more years. I hope many developers support PS3 even after the PS4 is released.

Too many good games out and most need to be replayed!

Been waiting for the next gen for at least a couple of years now.

Devs imo. So many buggy and glitchy games released these days. One often has to wait for patching to make a number of games even playable. A few examples...

Anything by Bethesda. Skyrim was particularly bad.

The Dead Island games, particularly the first with it's save corruption bug. Hell Sony even pulled one of their patches on the first game as it made things worse.

Insomniac of late, i.e., Resistance 3's 1.5 gigs of week one fix patching.
Anything else that had a large fix patch.

Oh and I'm not either, we're just beginning to see some rpgs this gen on consols. I don't need another 5 years of graphically pretty and mind numbingly dull shooters.

Honestly the technology is at the point where there's not gonna be a difference in graphics that people are gonna care about. Why not double the lifespan of the current gen and see if development costs don't come down. But that won't happen, everything's got to be new, new, new. I think consumers are getting sick of it.
