Not even close. The battle system can be fun, but to utilize it effectively you'll want more fingers than you have because of the control layout. The overall story is hampered by a poorly executed and tacked on second ending and the pacing is hurt by the constant onslaught of unnecessary tutorials. I like Level 5, but other than the graphics and music, I felt this was far below their best efforts.
Nah, it's pretty and cute but it's not really very good as far as JRPGs go. It IS a legitimate entry into the JRPG genre, which is enough for most of the starved JRPG fans this gen to accept it as a pretty good game.
I have to admit, I was let down by this game. It looked great but everything was just dull to me. It had great potential but just wasn't up to my expectations. It is most certainly not a bad game but definitely not one of the best RPGs I have played.
