well, should I get regular old Deus Ex HR for $15, or get this?

Director Cut, the bosses in the original version were flawed.

The game was designed to let play the style you want, aggressively (shoot everything in your path) or stealthy.

The problem is as soon you reach a boss, you are forced into a shooting fight, which screw the people who were playing stealthy because you didn't put any upgrade in your offensive skills.

They fixed that with the Director Cut by giving you stealthy way to handle the bosses.

There were other issues but that was the main one.

Completely reworked boss fights alone are worth full price to me.

This says the AI and graphics are improved too.

If this generation of gaming has taught me anything, it's *patience*. I'm so glad I got out of the habit of buying it up the day it comes out. Better to wait and get a complete package.

Personally I didn't think much of HR to begin with. the RPG aspects were laughable and the weapons insanely overpowered. Silenced pistol + sniper rifle for the fat guys later on. shoot for headshots from cover and win every time. if your feeling lazy just invisible walk through every area, most of the other skills aren't useful anyway.

terrible terrible terrible plot. I mean the main drive for 70% of it was 'save the princess'... and then its just like 'oh your safe... good...' *game awkwardly backs out of the room and she is never seen again*.

then there is the 'which voice over do you want' ending machine that was awwwwwful.

honestly... I'd rather the devs admitted their mistake in the 'style over substance' direction it took and went back to making good games.

stop trying to be the matrix. give me solid gameplay, RPG elements and story THEN worry about polishing it with whatever style you want, not the other way around.
