External HDD?

I have a 1 terrabyte HDD and I was wondering if i can use it in my PS3 for my PS+ games, is there anyway to do that? i tried to do a bit of research and only saw something about being in format FAT32 and i dont want to erase everything i have there... help?

if your HDD has stuff on it that you dont wanna delete when formatting you can just partition the free space and make that partition fat32... and use that portion of the hard drive for your ps3 while the other portion would with your ntfs format would be still intact with everything on nit

You CAN'T use external (USB) HDD as the additional storage space for games downloaded from PS Store. It can only be used as a backup device for the data from your PS3 or additional source for the music, movies or photos. And it has to be formatted in FAT32 in order to be recognized by the consoles OS...
