Don't get me wrong, I love the FF series, but what the hell were they thinking in VIII? Drawing magics to use? The junctioning is confusing as ****, and the characters are dull. FFIX was where it was at. So much better in regards to gameplay and story, and it didn't take me forever to get down the basics of the system. Anyone else agree with me here?

The junction system is pretty basic bro.

Junctioning - you put magic on a stat to increase it. Some magics grant more to stats than others. Yeah that's totally confusing.

I just didn't like the level scaling.

Agreed. That's one of the only things I didn't like about the game.

I hate FF8 because of lousy characters, garbage story and because the junction & battle systems are so easy to break.
Read the mania:
In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

This. Junctionnig is bad as well. It is just needless busy work. You can make it easier for yourself but you're really just substituting one form of busy work another. None of the characters are likable, the story is all over the place, Robin William gives you the devil without telling you, I don't know why the series lasted as long as it has.

With all those tutorials idk how it could be confusing :P I think you can check them out again in the menu.
You're the hero Gamefaqs deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

Level scaling is great because you don't need to grind at all. All that is needed is that you don't miss any GF, the more GF you get the more powerful your characters will be. Of course you need to draw a bit of magic to junction it too.
