It must be impossible for anybody on gamefaqs to enjoy both series of any games that are being compared. I love both. And I bet the guy who said the story of Symponia was cliched didnt even get that far into the game. Its starts off cliched but thats what its suppose to be then it throws you completly off I think maybe around the 10 hour mark.
Love FFX and ToS the same. 2 great JRPGs. Tales of series is great. People should play them first before judging them. You know people love them? Great characters and gameplay. Stories have there ups and down. But Symphonia had it all. --- Best Boss Battle Ever Xemnas- KH2, Long Live Mega Man Legends 3! PSN: Strife1721
An action combat system automatically makes the game non-traditional.
Action combat systems have been around since the SNES just because you mainstream folks have only played Final Fantasy and didn't even know other RPGs existed back then doesn't mean they weren't around.
They're actually even older than that... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_role-playing_game --- If you can read this, You don't need glasses.
ToS is good if you're a mainstream casual weeb and prefer animu simulators to actual games.
Calling the Tales series 'mainstream', wow, you delusional dudebrotrolls are rich. if your dudebro shooters are actual games then I do not want to play actual games. Tales has far more gameplay in them than your shooters though.
Once again the past will show this pathetic excuse for a gaming gen how it's done.
A new user (or is that newb user?) and regionally challenged to boot. Looks like a new messenger of the abnormal regional mentality agenda is in the house ... yay for us.
Oh, and i own the regular non regionally challenged version on GC. I don't remember the box art or game disk forcing me to acknowledge it being Japanese as a necessity to playing it. Funny how that works, isn't it?
