What game did you TRY to like, and TRY to get into several times, but couldn't?

See topic title.

For me, the clear answer is Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. I've started the game no fewer than 4 different times since I bought it, but I just haven't been able to get through it. This, despite the fact I loved Castlevania IV, Castlevania: Dracula X, and several of the more recent ones.

In my most recent playthrough, it was the little grenades that those goblin-things throw that finally convinced me to stop trying. I couldn't even see them on the screen before they blew up in my face.

Beyond Good & Evil. Tried to play it about 4 times. Each time I started fresh and each time I got a little bit further before getting bored and abandoning it.

By Uncharted 2 I had to force myself to finish it. So dull. Far better enjoyed just watching, than playing but that's not surprising considering it tries so hard to be a movie instead of a game.
I was a hipster way before it was cool.

Hmm...good point about Uncharted. I tried the demo and just didn't find it that engaging. But that didn't stop me from buying the original Assassins' Creed - a game I also haven't finished yet.

Oblivion. Strange, considering I LOVE Fallout 3 and NV, and normally prefer my RPGs to have medieval settings.

I have tried over and over again to get into it since it came out (I actually went to the midnight release) and I never could. It just bores the hell out of me. The only things that I ever enjoyed were the free-roam multiplayer and undead overrun.
I have to return some videotapes.

Too much spelling for me. Like, the whole game is spelling. All of it. Uggh.
