Looking for job system RPGs

#1newfrickinshowPosted 7/3/2013 10:17:31 AM
I have always been a huge fan of games like Ogre Battle and Final Fantasy Tactics with fun, involving, and changing character job systems. I have recently found myself doing some retro-gaming into that world and began to wonder if there were any more advanced, PS3/PS2 games along those lines. I haven't seen many but then again I am note exactly the biggest follower of upcoming/hot games. Any advice on areas I can check out would be appreciated. Thanks.

Wizardry: Labyrinth of Lost Souls.

It's a dungeon crawler style RPG with a class system.

"Cute" in an RPG is a kiddy euphemism for "Sexy".
Online is the worst thing to happen to gaming.

Definitely try the demo first with this one. This is a real niche title. Personally, I enjoyed it (well, maybe not farming the bizen osafune).

I'm actually a bit surprised that this wasn't the very 1st answer. It was the first thing I thought of just looking at the title, but especially after seeing FFT mentioned.

I loved Ogre Battle and FFT, but I just couldn't get into Disgaea. I'm not sure what was putting me off. To be fair, though, I only played Afternoon of Darkness on PSP. So, maybe I didn't give the series a fair shake.
