Why would they? EA is only doing this because Steam is destroying Origin.

EA is GENIUS. They're offering refunds months after releasing that piece of garbage that is SimCity, so everyone will still keep it forever.

Also, weeks after the Darkspore semi-fiasco.

What the hell? Can't you just abuse this?

I mean, you could just have a gaming day in a weekend. Buy a game, play the game till you finished it. Then ask for a refund. It's like free rentals.

In SA2, it's Super Sonic and Hyper Shadow.

Can Origin track game progress?

I'm sure they'll reserve the right to refuse refunds to people that are obviously abusing the policy.

Hooch is crazy.

Yes, but it doesn't say anything about game progress in the conditions. Just that it needs to be requested within 7 days of the game purchase and within 24 hours of starting the game for the first time.

Well all we have to go off of is what EA posted here:

https://www.origin.com/en-us/great-game-guarantee-terms

Since it says nothing regarding how much of the game you have played, I would assume that it doesn't matter. Although, as I said, if you do it over and over, they can refuse to give you any more refunds.

It doesn't say anything about that in the conditions, though they probably have some vague guidelines for people trying to pull that off.

However, if you can't find anything about it on their websites (or if it's very well hidden), there shouldn't anything they can do about it.
