Consequence of putting exorbant amounts of money on Kickstarter, then back out?

Is there any? I heard that the number for Mighty No 9 might not be accurate at all because some people are inflating their donations only the pull back before the Oct 1 deadline. What consequences are there for putting an amount you never intend to give them if any? What prevents someone from putting 1M down?

The only Vita games really worth getting: Gravity Rush & P4G

It doesn't matter how much you push the envelope. It'll still be stationary.

That happens all the time. One recent example was Tales of Alltynex.

It offered a digital copy of the game at one price or a physical copy of the game at a higher price, but physical copies would only be made if it reached a certain stretch goal. So a bunch of people who wanted a physical copy signed up for that amount. The game easily reached the minimum funding amount, however near the deadline it became obvious that the physical-release stretch goal would not be reached. At this point, funding tanked as everyone dropped their pledges to the lower digital-copy amount.

Wow that sounds like a terrible idea they had.

Also, Chess is a game of skill much like all gameplay only video games. So it is pretty mindless if you think about it.-mtjormitch

The consequence is that one day you will be eating a nice meal and suddenly a monkey will come crashing through your window and fart in your mouth.
