Have 2 questions about drakengard (spoilers)

Don't know where else to ask this.

1- Did Kaim and Furiae/his sister have an actual incestuous affair? It seemed to me the game was more hinting towards one sided incestuous feelings by his sister. However I keep reading online that they had an actual incestuous relationship.

2- Should I play part 2? I keep reading online that it ruins allot of the story and I should stay the hell away from it.

Why would playing a game IN the series spoil the series' story?

I don't know, that's why I asked.

You should play 2. The gameplay is better and the story while a little different, is still enjoyable.

You should also check out Nier sometime, it's a spinoff game that sorta continues from one of the endings

You should play 2 and ignore that Nier recommendation

I love drakengard and could care less about Nier. Nothing in common whatsoever.

Yeah except the same general bleak storyline. The same general feel. The fact it has some mild references and is basically from the same group.

No, nothing in common at all.

Same general feel? How? Drakengard is a stage themed hack and slash, Nier is like an action/adventure game. Bleak story lines? Not exclusive to neither of these games. Same group? Got me there.

I like Drakengard for being to the point and more focused. The whole adventure aspect of Nier put me to sleep.
