Lets just say, in a game that has been on a sony console atleast since it's on this board. Mine is pretty easy, after finally hearing it (finally got the game). Steve Burnside in Code Veronica X. And it's not even close.
That's some of his. But it doesn't compare to the whiny and nasaly "HELP MEEEEE!" he pulls early in the game, if you've heard it, you know what i'm talking about. So what about you guys, what's the worst voice acting you've ever heard?
"We're not tools of the government or anyone else, fighting was the only thing I was good at, but at least I always fought for what I believed in''
Kiefer Sutherland as Big Boss. Well, Kiefer Sutherland turning up to a recording session and doing his own voice, just reading lines without much effort, anyway. Professional voice actors are much better at what they do than big celebrity TV and film actors.
Proud to be unemployed, gay and a gamer. Currently playing: Castlevnia: LoS (Oh Gabriel, please visit in me in my dreams! What a hunk...)
Well, the original PSX Resident Evil 1 will ALWAYS be the king. I don't know if this was a result of bad Japanese translation, cut rate voice acting, or Capcom was just intentionally going for camp factor and didn't really try to write something any better, but nobody will ever forget "you were almost a Jill-vel Sandwich", "the master of unlocking", "Its blood!", etc etc. :)
In terms of pure bad voice acting though, my vote is for a game call Arc Rise Fantasia which was one of the few decent JRPGS available on Wii.
Its actually not a bad game, nor is the diologue necessary translated or written badly, but its just obvious that imageepoch/marvelous games opted to not pay actors and just grabbed people around the office, or off of the street to record the dialogue. These people are horrible! Youtube it sometime.
Yep definitely Resident Evil 1 all those years ago. It was so bad that it was actually really great. Fit in with the game perfectly. But playing it back when it was first released, nothing was like it. Great game.
