I only played it for about 8 hours before I got disgusted and quit. I hated the feeling of just running in a straight line and fighting stuff, and i didn't really understand the story. The music was good though. I feel like I might not have given it a fair chance by stopping so early. Maybe it gets better later on. Should I start a new game, resume my saved game or never play it again?

I think about breaking the disc in half every time that I play it :/

Not worth it.

The game just wasn't good. It did a lot poorly, and very little well. The result was just bad.

'it picks up after 20 hours' was the go to advice at the start. the reality is it gets better briefly then falls to the same old problems and then some.

I could of forgiven a lot if the story didn't feel like something a 5 year old wrote. The lead up to the end just doesn't make any sense, but they gloss over it with 'friendship is power' style nonsense as they effectively *minor spoilers* mess EVERYTHING up and do the exact thing they were trying to stop.

then *less minor but predictable spoiler* they pull a deus ex machina out of thin air that solves everything.

No go play an old final fantasy game like final fantasy 4-9 and you'll remember why the series was good in the first place.

No, I bought it and played it for 4 hours. Have not touched it since and had to buy FFIX to wash the taste out of my mouth

Bought that game around August or september of 2010. I'm still trying to finish it. Maybe I'll finish it around the time FF13 lightning returns launches. I heard FF13-2 is way better.
