A friend of mine who is into JRPG's asked me to buy them FFXIII

For their birthday. Loves JRPG's but never have played Persona 4, doesn't own a Vita but has a PS2. Should I just buy them Persona 4 for PS2?

They asked you for a game yet you want to buy them another? What is the reason behind it?
Seriously tired of all these DmC and FF bashing topics, we get it you don't like it.

Ether buy them Persona 4 or FFXII, of FFX.

If they don't have them of course, but it way better stuff than FFXIII.

How good a friend? FFXIII gifts have been known to ruin friendships lol.

Seriously. Your friend asked you for a specific game, but you don't think the game is good, so you want to force your opinion on your friend by buying them something they didn't ask for. Seems like a really dick move to me.

To be fair, its pretty good of him to be buying his buddy a game in the first place. Personally I would get him what he wants but its TC's money, plus I think FFXIII would be cheaper.

I would tell my friend what you think of FFXIII and recommend P4 instead. If he still wants FFXIII get that for him. It's not very classy to decide for your friend what's best for him. How would you like it if he did that to you?
