Alien: Isolation Won't Offer Multiplayer or Co-Op. Better than Alien:CM already?

Looking like it so far.

Music to my ears... or eyes. Anyway, hopefully this game sells better than CM and publishers realise MP modes are unnecessary.

All I care about is a damn good SP ride.

Anything else is a bonus.

There is ONE alien in the ENTIRE game, and I dont think you can ever kill it.

Already Im very intrigued. The game seems to be lots of running, hiding, and I assume puzzle solving.

Unlike Aliens: CM where it had 7 minutes of tension before devolving into an average FPS

The only fear I have is that this game might be too much like Amnesia or be very, very short.

The game needs to have

no checkpoints
saving only for progression
save erasing after death

To truly be a frightening experience.

It worked with Steel Battalion

Only for harder difficulties of course. Also, what do you mean by the second point?

It risks being another Mirror's Edge.

Even Mirror's Edge resorted to guns from time to time. and it did have a bad plot, and too short.

Single player games like these should at least be the length of Half-Life

Isolation could also benefit from more open maps instead of some string of setpieces.

Even if the alien a.i. is great, it might end up being like Tomb Raider, which has little to no incentive to replay and the tacked on collection gimmicks have no rewarding incentive.

Isolation's design can't be like some movie rental. There will be scripted stuff and a path, but
they could make it more open world within the station. Yea it's tough keeping a story progressive
while having a totally open enviornment.

but still, it could be much more than a tunnel of hide and seek.

The trailer for Alien: Isolation is better than the entirety of Aliens: Colonial Marines.

This game wont be the terrible Amnesia, do not worry!
I just hope it plays off the creepiness and scare factor off the earlier Alien franchise!
