ET for 2600

And I laugh at the people who mention above-average games that just aren't their cup of tea. Go play ET for a few minutes. It isn't anyone's cup of tea...because that's what a bad game really is.

It's funny. I own that game, and I like it far more than a lot of games. The 2600 itself has far worse games than E.T.

I've played a ton of awful games (intentionally.) Once I tried to beat Superman 64 but got halfway through before it got too broken to deal with, but I did have a little fun. I'd say Rise Of The Robots because there is no room for fun anywhere in that game. It isn't even something you can make fun of. To me, that's the worst kind of game.

Man... People need to play more games if the ones they mention are really the "worst".

It's the same deal with movies. You ask what was the worst and you have people throwing around The Dark Knight, Man Of Steel, and numerous big Hollywood blockbusters. It's like go on YouTube and watch Manos: The Hands Of Fate and not the MST3K version. There's also the stuff so bad that MST3K turned down like The Terror Of Tiny Town and Child Bride. You need to see something legit bad so you can know what bad is and also it gives you a much greater appreciation of those mainstream works that get the blind hate bandwaggons. At least those were well made and had a lot of hard work put into it. Not everyone has to like it, but there are many worse things out there.

last of us

I wish I had that streak going of playing only amazing games on console so TLoU would be the worst :(

For me it's Evergrace on PS2. Borrowed it from a friend once, played 10 mins, never again. And I freaking traded GTA: Vice City for it.

I still own that game lol. Received as a gift so i tried to push myself through it. I never completed it....It's not unplayable (system-wise), it was just the opposite of fun.

As for Superman 64. It was quite entertaining, a lot of laughs.

You're the hero Gamefaqs deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

Holy hell that was an awful game.

I bet that everyone here who is saying that The Last of Us and Final Fantasy XIII are the worst games they have ever played are lying, Everyone has most likely played a worst game than those.

FXIII was awful.

That's a highly unfortunate misspelling of the word "awesome".

Worst game I've personally played on a console was E.T. on the Atari 2600.

Yeah they did make it a bit too challenging for the average gamer

New game releases these days, are just like boss fights. Wait and wait until you see a weakness... it's all that matters

The worst game I own is Operation Darkness, but I still love it.
