I've just seen this in the EU store and I really wonder if this is a good/great game

Yeah it's pretty good just the sound effects and battle effects are a bit lacking.

The Wild Arms games a pretty cool. My personal favorite was Wild Arms 3.

If you don't mind a mostly 2D game, with early 3D visuals for battles, then yes, it's very good. Story is unique, music is awesome, characters are fun, challenging puzzles to solve, and a competent if rather generic combat engine. It's certainly worth the price it goes for on PSN.

Wild Arms is one of my favorite games.
It's one of the best JRPGs from that generation, and has a good amount of secrets and side quests.
That Ragu Ragula will own you up too.
Just don't do the duplication trick and get infinite items. Makes the game way too easy.

It's pretty fun, a bit dated, obviously, but fun none-the-less.

I'd never played any games in the series, always wanted to, back to the first game and the Playstation days, but it just never happened.

And some time back, the US had a deal on the PSN to get Wild Arms TOTALLY free, I think a topic on this site alerted me to it. There was one catch, apparently you HAD to get it on the Vita. No problem, had one since launch. Free game is getting got regardless, but this was also one I wanted to try from way back, so even better.

I haven't played a lot, but the overall idea is kinda cool, and I like that you play each of the three main characters a bit on their own before they all get together, I wish more JRPG's would do that.

So I don't know what the price point is, but I imagine it's worth it if you have interest in trying the game.

5 is good. And I heard basically everything but...4? was great.

It's dated, but it doesn't feel poorly aged like... well... FF7 hasn't aged well at all. WA1 still plays decently enough. The graphics are the only dated part.

I just finished Wild Arms 2 yesterday, and I played the first one a while back. They're not the very best JRPGs out there, but they're still a decent play. The localisation was pretty bad in #2, though. The dialogue suffers because of it. Can't remember if the same is true for #1.
