Netflix Problems.

#1fire21971Posted 7/7/2014 9:10:19 PM
Whenever I watch Netflix, the show/movie is always choppy/laggy. It does this with everything I watch. Netflix works fine on my Wii and IPhone, so it isn't my internet connection.

Could someone tell me what the problem might be and how to fix it?

Wired or wireless connection?

If it's wireless, that could be the problem. Try unplugging the router, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in. It should fix it.

If not, try uninstalling/reinstalling it.

It is a wired connection. The same choppiness happens with my digital games which makes them impossible to play. It is especially bad during cutscenes.

Could it have something to do with my hard drive?

Is all of your video playback choppy?

I doubt it, but could it be the TV?

YouTube works fine. It's not the tv because it does the same thing on my other tv. I tried deleting/ reinstalling Netflix along with its data utility. I tried resting my internet connection. I don't know what else to try.

What else can I try?

You could try restoring the file system in the PS3's hidden menu.

Isn't there something about internet providers playing hardball with Netflix and messing with their speeds so they don't cut into their cable business? Look that up. Verizon specifically but I think others, too. I view on the Wii and it was perfect until a couple months ago and now it stops to load constantly.

Well it could be his ps3 internet connection isn't set just right. Or it could be he is only getting standard definition video playing back on his Wii and Iphone. Standard definition video requires less bandwidth and internet speed then a High definition video on his ps3 would.
