After playing the Dreamcast recently, the PS3 and 360 seems so cold and shallow

And I might even throw the Wii in that list too with the PS3 and 360.

y'know what I mean though?

Must have been 10+ years since I played Dreamcast, well playing it over the weekend, from the bootup screen to the dashboard, everything seemed....full of life? m'right?

so much potential. I'm not knocking on the PS3, 360, or Wii, and maybe it's the nostalgia coming back, but there's something different there.

Dreamcast is great, but what you're experiencing is called Nostalgia.

Power Stone 2 was my favorite game on the Dreamcast! I wish I still had it.

Why is this phone jack here? Can I use it as a phone? There are no number buttons?
Connect to the Inter-what? I can play against other people? In-line? Like the skates? That's crazy. It's a fad that will never take off.

It was a great system but the games always made me feel lonely. Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, and even Soul Calibur, after playing them for a while you felt isolated. Maybe it was the melancholy music or the fact I played them all in the dead of night on my days of from 3rd shift, but that feeling always remained. Now when I turn on the PS3 and see my friends obsessively playing GTA Online or Dark Souls it makes me smile.

GTA Online is online so of course people will be playing it. Single player will feel more isolated. Same goes for dark souls....
