Is Resident Evil Revelations a good Resident Evil game, and did you like it?

I was thinking about getting Resident Evil Revelations for $9.99 off of the Flash sale, but I am just not sure. I have played most if not all of the other Resident Evil games.
Is it a good Resident Evil game, and did you like it?

id say its a better "Resident Evil" game than the other newer RE's are, those being 4,5,6 and ORC. since It has a bigger emphasis on atmosphere, puzzles solving and backtracking. it feels like a middle ground between the new and old. It also has decent replay value and one of the best minigames in the series(which is worth that price alone). Tho the game still has its share serious issues. I did enjoy it and it is worth that price, but dont expect the greatness of the older games(REmake or 2) or the greatness of the new ones (4).

I would not even buy Resident Evil Revelations in a $0.99 FLASH sale.

It's closer to RE4 than RE5 & 6 are if that means anything to you. Fun, over the shoulder gameplay that has a creepy, but not outright scary atmosphere -- like RE4. Its version of mercenaries in "raid mode" is great. The story is weak like most RE games. If you liked any of the RE4-6 games at all, you'll likely enjoy Revelations. If pure classic RE is your thing, maybe not, however you might still appreciate the slower pace and quasi horror vibes it provides.

Its what RE5 and 6 should have been. Rather than going for an action slant, it went for horror game feel, which is much closer to what the old RE games felt like.

I would highly recommend it to any RE fan.

Good game.
The only thing it needs is a bit more monster variety and being less mission based with changing characters, but other than that it's fun. And even though it plays like the newer REs, it does manage to have a atmosphere for once (especially the ship missions).

Story is ass, but that's like every RE ever and was never that much of importance to me in the series anyway.
