I just now learned that this was available for the 360 and want to try it...Im guessing Amazon is the only place I can get it now? What version do I need? How active is the community. I'm new to this Final Fantasy MMORPG stuff so just bear with me. I knew aut this games existence on the PS2 and the new one (XIV) and how much it sucked, but never knew this one was on the 360.
I plan on getting the version with the silver cover that has the three expansions on it...will that be good enough to play? The Ultimate Edition is 230 new on Amazon so that's not happening.
you should check your local gamestops they might still have some left but i cant say for sure if they do they will be much cheaper then amazon and they wont sell unless the codes are valid
i havent played in a while but thinking of reactivating my character when i left it was basicly as i discribed a few topics down i would say it will be pretty tough for a new player who doesnt have any connections
one more little note if your getting the one with the first 3 expansions you will also want to get the expansion for wings of the goddess the rest are downloadable addons and give their codes digitally. you will need wings of the goddess expansion to use the abyssea addons.
The PC version is much preferred, if you weren't aware, but if you need the 360 version then just buy a used version of the 360 discs and find a computer and buy the Ultimate Edition on Steam or the like for the registration codes. The registration codes are cross compatible, so it doesn't matter which version you get them from, as long as you have the instillation discs for 360 (and you need the disc in to start it up). The most cost effective option would be the original 360 version (which includes the first three expansions) and the Wings of the Goddess expansion. That will run you about $30 for the used versions and another $20 for the game on Steam for the registration codes. A bit pricey, but it comes with all the goods (the add-ons are all downloaded and included with the Steam registration codes) plus the nifty bonus hat that comes with the Steam version. Even used the Ultimate Collection for 360 was $70+ on Amazon, plus it doesn't even come with the Abyssea add-ons (which you WILL need and are $10 each if bought separately), nor the nifty hat (auto-regen, auto-refresh, auto-reraise, and +12% movement speed at or below level 30).
As for how active it is, it's not prime time yet on my server and there are 1470 players on right now. It's active enough.
