Materials location FAQ

#1KiariyPosted 1/8/2010 6:01:55 PMmessage detail
This version at least has all materials as far as I know, so hopefully you guys can keep it bumped or even get it to be a sticky.

This list DOES NOT INCLUDE CHESTS, just monster drops, items from miasma streams, mini games and Demon Wall chests (because you can get multiples out of those as far as I know, also it doesn't work for Myrrh Seedling)

Credits for helping with some drops, specially form rarer materials:
shainwind, Emir_Parkreiner, Blackest_Knight, rolfboy, mikeyj123187

*Demon Wall chests seem to appear again after getting them a few times (it might from 1 to 5 or more tries) so you can get multiple items. This doesn't seem to work for the Myrrh Fragment unfortunately.
-|D|
1| |2
3| |4
5| |6
D = Demon Wall
1 = Myrrh Seedling (tried 12 times, you can only get one apparently... you get a lot of Gil though)
2 = Life Up
3 = Teddy Bear (I've obtained 3)
4 = Action Figure (I've obtained 3)
5 = Board Game (I've obtained 2)
6 = Keepsake (I've obtained 2)

**You have to break King Behemoth's horn first. To do this, wait until he attacks with the mace when he is over snow, spin him (left or right) so he is trapped there then grab onto him and use "up" and you'll break his horn and be able to use it... just throw it to something and it'll break and you might get an item.

Alright, cool. This works out nicely. Sticky request is done through TC's message detail, right?

One small addition: I've gotten a Crown from Snowfield #1. Most of the time it seems to drop Ivory Objects, but I've definitely gotten a Crown once or twice. Maybe the Luck stat influences that.

It would appear that the Miasma Stream drops a random material that could be dropped by any of the monsters from that particular stream. But your chances of getting a particular material are lower than that of getting it from the monster that actually drops it. Maybe.

Myrrh Seedling: Lost Emperor drops this. I just now fought him by locking on and pulling *down* to force him into Christmas Tree form. When I beat him, he dropped a Myrrh Seedling.

I definitely just picked up my first ribbon in the Commoner's Graveyard when I threw the Tonberry Queen into a regular Tonberry. Neither died but an item appeared and it was a ribbon.
