If I can say one good thing about Postal III, it's that it makes me appreciate other games more.
Skyrim may have a lot of bugs, but at least it's not Postal III.
Saints Row the Third may not be as good as Saints Row 2, but at least it's not Postal III.
I had a feeling this was going to be a trainwreck when I saw it was being released in Russia first. Why oh why didn't I trust those instincts?

I'm actually enjoying Saints Row 3 more than the second one. Got both of them on PC and the SR2 PC port is a gigantic piece of crap. The graphics look more like a budget game than a AAA title and the gameplay itself was pretty unrefined. Plus the annoying framerate was inconsistent. I wasn't impressed.
SR3 feels a lot more polished for sure. Great graphics and great framerate on my PC with maxed out settings. The guns seem to handle better and the melee is LOADS better and pretty hilarious too. My only complaint with it is the somewhat repetitive missions and lack of plot but those are minor complaints when the game itself is so much fun.
As far as Postal 3 goes, I really liked Postal 2 because of the "do whatever the hell you want" vibe. Now I just learned that Postal 3 is a LINEAR GAME?! Absolutely ridiculous. They might as well make a Mario game where you can't jump next.
What is this, ice?
There's supposed to be an update where it has freeroam soon. And could someone help me understand why the 3rd person point of view is bad? I'm indifferent when it comes right down to the camera angle.
This...THIS IS MY BOOMSTICK!!!!!
A free roaming FPS, that isn't an RPG, is rare. Although I don't mind the 3rd person, it is a small gripe on top a heaving pile of turd.
Postal 3 is good so far. It does have a pretty stiff learning curve like missions that outright kick your ass before you really know the right way to get through it. When you understand what is expected of you, it becomes a much more fun game. I didn't play Postal 2 until a couple years or so after it came out so most of the patches were already out. Postal 3 has it's bugs but eventually they will be fixed and there's already plans to add in free roam. It was worth the 40 bucks to support an indie game studio that is really trying to make very different games from everyone else. If anything be glad that it is much more functional than games like Alpha Protocol where simple action game functions like shooting a guy feels very off, and it's not even because you're a low level character, it's broken game mechanics.
I'm sorry, but I enjoyed Alpha Protocol warts and all and found it a lot more playable at release than Postal 3 is. Has nothing to do with difficulty, though I find that most of the "difficulty" in Postal 3 comes from it being a broken, poorly made game rather than from offering an honest challenge.
It's also just not any fun so far. The whole thing's kind of depressing.
Plus, free roam is not something you add in after release. How pathetic.
That said, I'm gonna leave this one alone for a while and see if the thing doesn't become a bit more playable after it's been patched a few times and free roam has been added, if it ever is.

Exactly what I think.
Well, honestly I don't appreciate games more because of this. RWS is just a bad company full of idiots.
Games like Skyrim and Saints Row: The Third were made to bring in money off of a franchise.
This game just has poor writing, poor design, and poor gameplay. I liked the second one a lot, but I think they just got lucky with it. This game isn't even funny.
And for the record, it's very uncomfortable to play in third person. I never know whether to aim in front of the Dudes body or with the crosshairs when I'm using melee weapons because it's placed so wacky, and his body is blocking my view of the world.
Dr. Pepper 11. It's not for black people!
