You can buy it for 1500 and get 1600 exp with the times 3 bonus. Are there any other materials that are better than this?

I suppose I should be more specific, I mean best in terms of cost efficiency. I found a superconductor, costs 840 and gives 960, so for every 1 gil spent you get 1.14 experience.

I know other items give a lot of experience, but the ratio is what's important. Are there any objects that net you better efficiency than the superconductor?

The problem is that you have a multiplier as well if you hook up say 36 Sturdy Bones first. This means that when you use the low level ones you get like 1500 EXP, but then your multiplier goes down and you need to either up the multiplier again, or get less EXP. That is why using the high EXP and the expensive ones later on is more efficient since they can take you a lot further without having to just go buy a lot of stuff again.

We'd have to study this, but most of us have just been following this mini-guide I copied so far.

Ok true. If you use 99 superconductors at the 3x bonus you get about 95040 exp. It costs 2880 gil to get the 3x bonus from sturdy bones or whatever. (Right now I'm just thinking on here, I might make mistakes but I don't feel like writing this down or anything.)

99x superconductors = 83160 gil
36x sturdy bones = 2880 gil
So for 86040 gil you can get 95040 exp, making it 1.1 experience for every gil spent.

99x ultracompactors 4950000 + 2880 = 4952880
3960000 exp, so in the end you get .8 exp per gil.

I'll do the math on the rest tomorrow or something, but it seems like even though it would take longer, you get much better returns (even including having to buy sturdy bones extra times when you lose your 3x bonus).

I gotta go for tonight though, someone should figure this out when I'm gone :-p
