I like the current-ish direction of difficulty.
Enemies can hit you, but not to the point simply kill you on 1-hit.

The PS2-era where "either you dodged everything or get blown up on 1-hit" is not difficulty, it is just annoyance that encourages cheating the RNG.

This Dai-2-Ji OG on the other hand can be played at a relatively "normal" manner.

I don't know about Impact but Alpha 3, 2, and MX are a joke so I don't see how that is the case

Wrong. Just because you don't like a form of difficulty does not make it "not difficulty".

Yes Alpha Gaiden is one of the most difficult SRWs if you go for all SR points.

I'd like to see Ex-Hard be a lot harder, I don't care if they keep normal mode the same.

The PS2 version of MX is good fun if you play with no upgrades, PP or equipped parts. Add any of this in and it's a joke.

Impact is just stupid.

Instead of just making the game straight up harder, I would prefer a customizable difficulty setting.

SRW J kind of had something like that. You could set the enemy upgrades to 3, 6, or 9 bars.

So does W< although to do the higher one, you need to do (number of upgrades PT) so its kinda not effective



And IMO AP is easier than AG. Take of that as what you will(to be fair, i played AP after playing AG, and playing AG teached me how to put(and use) battleship for the Aura)

I wouldn't mind that actually. it's a challenge to nonupgraders, and for those that do like to upgrade, and on their 2nd playthrough, they can at least still have a challenge, despite having upgraded units.
