Simple Codebreaker Question
Is it possible to change anyone in the arena or any story based fight? I'm unable to try it all out for myself so I haven't read through 'all' the codes out there. It's nice to know wht's possible though. I thought I would ask because I had some crazy ideas of things I'd like to see.
Yes, for some it is. You can't change just anyone at present (the Hetero Trio, Antares' lackeys, the former Chaotic PK's, etc.), but this can be done for characters that can also be hacked into the party. This is an example of what can be done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMgm3p_qZK8 --- The Unoriginal White Sheet - http://masterzed.cavesofnarshe.com/ -Master ZED
Nice. Think on this for a moment, being on the receiving end of a Xth Triad attack. ... Thought of this once before, but now a video gave it a name. Makes me think someone would get juggled to death. That is if they weren't special, or lucky. Nearly happened to me once via magic, too bad for the guy I was trying to help though. I must be getting bored, or something, typing things like this and all seems to be outside my normal self. Anyway, too bad we couldn't get ahold of all the stuff they used to make these games, and then some more to fill in all the missing parts. I've noticed though that they changed a fair number of the workings of the game between volumes, at least between #'s 1 & 2. So this make me wonder, "What else did they change?"
Think on this for a moment, being on the receiving end of a Xth Triad attack. ... Xth Duo, actually. There aren't any scenarios in Redemption where we can hack the entire opposing team yet, which is unfortunate. A fight against the Xth Triad would indeed be rather awesome, though the use of dual guns might have to be banned simply because of the tedious nature they would create. You can't really go wild against even virtual OHKO's. "What else did they change?" Besides what's stated and the obvious? This may include some cheat-only trivia. Rebirth to Reminisce Characters Haseo: Twin Blade changes only affected him, Sophora, and maybe Negimaru (I haven't played as him, so I can't comment). Alkaid stays the same, along with other Twin Blade and (in the case of Sagittarius) Adept Rogue PC's. Endrance: "Mia" is no longer depicted on his shoulder in the Status screen. Matsu: Can no longer use broadswords with his given PC model. It's not just an Equipment screen limitation. Class changes Edge Punishers: Guard canceling can now be used on charge attacks, rapid attacks, and hold and release strikes; this was limited to regular attacks in Rebirth. Mage classes and Steam Gunners: Now launch targeting cursors for Arts and spells instantly with the Skill Trigger. In Rebirth, a wait period of about a second had to be endured before the attack would begin seeking the victim. Miscellaneous Skill Trigger: Spells are now completely banned from the Triggers of physical classes. Before, you could hack the settings and put spells on no matter what character you chose to play as. Breaking this rule makes the game freeze in areas. Also, an unnecessary stall was added with the Weapon Change feature, unintentionally acting as a punishment for not changing weapons. (this may have more to do with the voice clip loading code, as Arts will not launch until they at least access the appropriate afs file) Weapon Change: Haseo can now use the Multi-Trigger to change weapons with either 2nd or 3rd form models, though 2nd form itself doesn't allow this. Drop Ratio and GP +% effects: Now work with any character, not just the leader. Mumyn Lei: Was renamed Mumin Lei for this volume only. Significant glitches: The Death Protection bug was introduced, while the hole in Mac Anu's floor next to the Dome was sealed. Theta: Galloping/Starting Wrath's Blue Cloud was introduced. Reminisce to Redemption Characters Multiple now-unused characters had their battle animations disabled, such as the Moon Tree captains, AIDA Sirius, Matsu (broadsword) and AIDA Bordeaux. Awakening Favorites (general): Morale gained was slashed across the board, likely due to the introduction of Morale Boost. Combo Favorites: Repaired and working properly. Combos in prior volumes were only triggered once at the first 16+ hit combo, and would not be given by the same enemy again until another enemy triggered the Favorite. In Redemption, the Favorite is triggered once by every 16+ hit combo no matter the target. Critical healing Favorites: These no longer respond to SP healing and status recovery. Could be considered a bugfix. Miscellaneous Spirit Grasp: Now recovers 50% instead of 25% of damage as SP. The description doesn't reflect the change. Over Damage: Forces the maximum amount of postmortem strikes permissible. Skill Trigger: The stall is mostly gone, replaced by the Double Trigger's punishment for not using it in Xth Form. Glitches: Death Protection and many OOB glitches (Central in Mac Anu, Return Feather into a hill) were fixed. Theta: Galloping/Starting Wrath's Blue Cloud and its variants have the only remaining OOB bugs. That's all I can remember off the top of my head. --- The Unoriginal White Sheet - http://masterzed.cavesofnarshe.com/ -Master ZED |
