There is a major glitch in this game, so if anyone is hoping to get a platinum trophy for this game, think again. There is a game ending glitch that prevents this from happening. I don't know the details but here is my experience:
I played through the entire game, getting EVERY trophy except the Day in Central Park trophy, which you get for completing the game. When I finished the game for the first time, I did not unlock it, despite the fact that I had unlocked EVERY episode trophy. I did at one point go back a chapter just to redo one part to get a trophy, so I figured, "Maybe I have to play through without moving chapters, even going back chapters I've already completed.". So I decided to restart the game, even though it is at the very core an awful game, I figured I was one trophy away from another plat, that I'd go through it again.
Well, I restarted, a New Game, and played through the entire game from start to finish, past the credits and everything. I didn't skip chapters, I didn't go back chapters, I continually progressed through the chapters, but the trophy did not unlock...AGAIN.
There is no explanation for why this is happening, but if you're hoping to get a plat from this game, heed this warning. This game is riddled with glitches, even game breaking glitches such as this one.
<rant>I would recommend never buying another Atari game again ever, but thats your decision, not mine. I have been infuriated beyond belief by this game and I hope Atari bankrupts and all of this games staff are jobless for eternity...the people behind this game should never be allowed to make another game again. Easily one of the worst games of all time. --- Amazing Signature!!1intpsipsi*
Dude, calm down. Its not perfect but its deffinetly better than the other 2 versions. the glitch you speak of sounds harsh and im sorry, but try it again, maybe save before the final segment and load from there?
Harsh as hell, i just got platinum a few minutes ago.......Hate to say it but try deleting your data from the hdd and restarting? then with any luck itll work, if your still interested in playing it. I honestly dont think it was a bad game, but it certainly didnt live up to my expectations and i likely wouldnt buy a sequel considering the ending.
Didn't you say "Combo Specialist" for Prince of Persia was glitched, too? Just curious as to whether you ever ended up getting that.
At any rate, I guess this is just another rough edge of the game and something to keep in mind... I'm still going to give it a try, since I can snag a new copy for $10 bucks. --- PSN ID : DrkrZen : Warhawk, CoD4, GTAIV, MGO, WipEout HD, Burnout Paradise, R2, LBP
