Getting Rich When You First Enter Karnak

#1oldguy2Posted 9/10/2013 6:23:44 AM
This worked on IOS version, so it should work on GBA version.
.
When you first enter Karnak, prices at the Armor and Weapon Shops are discounted 75%.
.
You will only be able to purchase one item at these prices.
.
The Weapon Shop Mythril Hammer is the most valuable at $262 now and will be $1050 at full price later.
.
If you buy 99 now at $25938, you can later sell 98 at $51450, for a net profit of $25512.
.
Enjoy spending your windfall profits.

It may not work as soon as you try to buy 1 item on the GBA version and you get thrown in jail the prices of the items will go back to their normal cost after your freed from your jail cell.

But to get 200,000+ gil I would have to job class grind before fighting Siren but at the same time when you try to buy 1 item for the GBA version I had the said hammer not appear in the party members item menu at all either.

My experience on iPad matches description in GBA FAQs.
Namely, I was able to make one purchase and after the purchase was added to my inventory and the cost subtracted from my Gil, I was then arrested.
I made my purchase of 99 hammers and then was arrested.
It was after I was out of jail that I went back and sold 98 hammers for the large profit due to the increase in prices.

Best way to earn that 25,000 Gil is to go into the woods around Karnak, use Fira on the Wild Naks. They will die in one hit, sometimes two. Almost 1,400 Gil every other battle. In roughly 20 minutes you have the 25,000, as Wild Naks are the only enemy encountered in the woods

Yo Itchytasty96. I can't find those Wild Naks.

All I can find is Wolfs, or something.

I'm playing the GBA version, which is what this board is for. they are found in the woods surrounding Karnak. They're the only enemies there. They may be called wolves in another version. They are very weak to Fira, one hit kill and tons of Gil

Wild Nakks. Forests around Karnak. They are the only enemies fought there. This is the same in every version of the game. I honestly don't know what is so confusing about this.

Buying the 99 items in the GBA version does not work. It only lets you pick which item to buy, not the amount. The guy comes in and arrests you before you get to pick how many.
