I happen to be moving house at the worst possible time EVER, so in my new house I won't have full on internet for a few weeks and I'll be languishing in mobile internet territory.
This means I have a limit of 5GB. I'm not hopeful I'll be able to play Diablo 3 for weeks given this unfortunate fact, but if I just play alone does the game maybe not need to transfer so much data backwards and forwards?
Any information appreciated! --- kozublue

You'll have to download less data if you play alone, yes. There will be fewer animations to bring from the server to you.
How much of a difference it actually makes is debatable though. --- Gamertag: Archlvt 3DS FC: 4296 3610 2207

I have no idea, but have you ever tried playing a game with your phone internet? Even plugged in you'll only get about an hour or so of playing time, depending on how much bandwidth this game is using, and I'm not talking about eating up your allocation. Your phone's battery will die. You're probably better off going somewhere that has free internet. --- It may cost your life but that was free.

Not much compared to streaming video or other intensive tasks. No way to know until you try it though. --- And with that...pow! I'm gone!

you look like you are buying it already so best way to know is play for a couple of hours then check the next day how much you downloaded

While we can't know the exact details until the game is released, if any comparison can be drawn from MMO bandwidth, you should have no worries about exceeding your 5GB limit in a couple weeks of play.
I mean like a mobile dongle thing, not from my phone.
Really, even an MMO doesn't use more than 5GB? I would have thought it definiutely would if you're playing it a fair amount.

I've played an online game on one of those before, my net was down for like 2 months so picked up one of those sticks had only like 500MB monthly limit (horrible I know) and the game used about 10MB per 30mins of game time but I made it work.
However no clue how much D3 will use, I'd say you'll be fine if you limit yourself just keep an eye on the usage and you'll be able to manage it.
