DIABLO III Expansion = NEW CLASSES (Rate them)

(Rate these classes from 1-10 depending on how well you like them; and how much probability you think they have of being added)

(1) ZEALOT
Lore =>
"Former paladins of the Zakarum faith;
Came to the grand temple city of Travincal to find death and devastation;
Became doubtful of their life's teachings but vowed revenge;
Their soul is torn by desire to protect, and need to avenge their fallen friends"

General Description =>
- STR based
- majority of attacks are 'spells/caster' but STR is the primary stat used
- spell animations always show the attack emanating from the weapon/armor of the class
- has "channeled" heal

Resource => "Faith / Fanaticism"
- damage taken increases Faith
- damage dealt increases Fanaticism
- high Faith increases defensive capabilities but lowers offense
- high Fanaticism increases offensive capabilities but lowers defense
- 'progressive glass cannon' or 'progressive tank' depending on how you play

(2) DRUID
Lore =>
"Dwellers of the deep forests;
Remained in seclusion for the past two decades until news of the end times;
Can shapeshift and control animals of the forest;
Is either the son or daughter of the druid in D2:LOD"

General Description =>
- slightly comparable to Druids in WoW
- STR-based on werebear form (heavy melee damage, high armor/tank)
- DEX-based on beastmaster form (moderate damage, average armor, summons animals)
- INT-based on sage form (heavy caster damage, low armor, improved HoTs)

Resource => "Druidic Marks" (I was tempted to call it "mark of the wild" LOL)
- resource image is a circle with "a bear paw"
- each enemy killed increases the size of the image
- at below-maximum size, skill usage gives dependent results
- at maximum size, skill usage deals extra damage and effect

(3) BATTLEMAGE
Lore =>
"Former Vizjerei-appointed 'mage killer' (aka. 'D2 assassins');
was ordered to kill helpless mages/children but refused;
turned renegade and was joined by some disgruntled Vizjerei (aka. 'Sorcs');
has been helped by Assassin's Guild since the end of D2:LOD"

General Description =>
- hybrid DEX and INT based class
- stacking DEX provides greater bonuses for 'assassin-type' attacks, but less for 'sorc-type' spells; and vice versa
- can use a multitude of spells, traps, combos, etc

Resource => "Blood Orbs"
- similar to assassin combo points but with a magical twist
- consecutive 'assassin-type' attacks make the orbs 'bleed'
- consecutive 'sorc-type' attacks make the orbs 'burn'
- having five of the same 'orb types' unleashes a strong finishing move
- having combinations of orbs unleashes a less-powerful version with an extra effect depending on the dominant orb-type, and the finisher used

(4) ORACLE
Lore =>
"Long ago a nephalem and an angel had twin daughters;
One twin became martial, strong, and more physical-oriented;
The other was more in-tune with the ethereal mysteries;
They were the ancestors of the Amazons and Oracles, respectively"

General Description =>
- INT based class
- features debuff-heavy playstyle
- spells are more oriented to destroying your enemies overtime
- has spells with status effects, with DoTs, and with CCs
- "Draw"-spell (for resource) can be changed quickly while playing
- like DOTA "Invoker" hero

Resource => "Tarot Cards"
- four cards shown face down
- one card is shown per usage of a "Draw"-type spell
- after three cards are shown, a fourth will be applied depending on the combination and the final "Draw" spell used

I read the titles of each of them and only didn't hate Battlemage. I'm not a huge fan of the others but I like it simple :P

Be honest, how much time did you spend on this?

WHy not? They already released the game unbalanced on stat based characters and it worked. Why would they care what stat does what at this point? Also that assumes there is only one class added. LoD added 2! Mind=blown!

Of the 3 they all would work. I'd doubt battlemage however. Zealot maybe. If the templar wasn't a shield/spear user I'd suggest that's a gap that hasn't been filled yet. Zealot could fit in there.

Personally, still hoping for an alchemist. Summons golems, brews potions that deal different elemental AoE spells. Potentially even using "scrapped" materials for different effects.

(Granted that would make them either OP'd or way UP'd since you'd have to balance out the fact that they won't have as much gold from scrapping items for their spells.)

*looks for necromancer*

*doesnt find*

Not buying the expansion.

Diablo 3 is already boring... Such a disappointment.

Is the Zealot's wife for hire?

Don't worry I'll add some more later when I'm done with the game.

Maybe they could scrap whites for skills, and finally give them a purpose. Other ones would optionally be for stronger versions.

Druid
Is either the son or daughter of the druid in D2:LOD

But the female Barbarian is already the daughter of the D2:LoD Druid! (no one else in Sanctuary has Orange hair)
