Any tried and true fix for the stuttering?

#1BogePosted 6/18/2012 2:33:39 PM
Before saying anything about my computer, do a search. It's not because one has a bad computer. Some experience stuttering in the game regardless of internet speeds and computer hardware and drivers, which mine are all great and updated.

Now, those that know what I'm talking about, is there an easy fix that is tried and true? One that isn't really a hit or miss depending on my situation type of deal?

Blizzard is working on some solutions.

I use V-Sync on all games, regardless of how awesome my set-up is or how old the game is.

Some games aren't really optimized for unthrottled FPS.

I'm on a GTX 560 and i7-2600k, in case it matters. I would get stuttering in Witcher 1 (yes, 1, not 2) in some cut scenes until I started using V-Sync.

Same time post!

Also, there's quite a bit of rubberbanding that's entirely Blizzard's fault.

Oh and it's important to keep in mind, your monitor's refresh rate is capped (usually at 60fps), so there's not much point going past that.

Wow. What a dweeb.

ATI 4890, Phenom II x4 @3.4ghz, 4gb ddr2, Windows 7, Vsync, all settings maxed with shadows down to medium. Framerate is stable for the most part at 60fps. I get stuttering.

Again, do a search before acting like a smart ass. It's a known issue that many have despite their systems...DESPITE THEIR SYSTEMS. It's not a framerate issue, but some stuttering issue. Do a search next time before acing like a smart ass. Thank you.

I'm wondering if anyone has any simple fixes or if I just have to wait for Blizzard to get a fix for it "soon".

It's your computer.

Is it graphical stuttering or lag? I used to get 1 second lag spikes every minute or so on my wireless until I found a fix.

It's a graphical stuttering. I get a lag spike every now and then, or the "rubber banding". I know that's just an internet thing.

A great demonstration of it is in this video. Unfortunately I don't have a flash drive to try this, so I'm hoping there is another fix.
