MacrossSpecialPosted 6/26/2012 5:20:18 PM | For gamers who aren't gamblers, money crazy or completely devoid of sense, it became apparent that Diablo III was a pathetic attempt at a cash grab instead of a long awaited sequel to one of the most celebrated action-RPGs of all time.
to add: in addition, the gaming market is crap right now so anything put out by a semi-reputable company will get bought up like potassium iodide in fukushima --- ...Dude, you're a ****ing douche. Get off my god damn internets. - RX7Infinitilll |
pookiejinPosted 6/26/2012 5:30:39 PM | useless to post here but....
its amusing to me that the community apparently frowns upon the RMAH because of the 15% cut they recieve, while at the same time they use it buy/sell items.
its optional. if it failed then blizz would have done more to make players happy while playing, however it appears that due to the AH/RMAH popularity Blizz has adopted to utilize it as a functional aspect.
again cunsumers vote with their wallet and complain that their wallets are dry..... |

Darth_HaroPosted 6/26/2012 5:46:57 PM | The problem is not that the RMAH exists. They could still have a game that drops reasonable loot for people and still have a functioning RMAH.
The problem is that they're actually balancing the game with bots in mind. Instead of changing aspects about the auction house to make it less rewarding for farmers and banning bots when they find them, they limit many options in the game because of a type of player that should not exist to begin with. What is happening is that players are being punished for playing the game, and botters are only slowed down slightly.
Another thing that hurt players is the repair costs. It is a fine idea in theory, but it assumes that every player that dies is doing so because they want to corpse walk as an easy way to skip elites. What actually happens is that it punishes players that make mistakes and people that corpse walk equally. What Blizzard needs to do is make the repair damage you take when dying scale with the respawn timer (starting with 5% maybe), so that if you make an "oopsie" it will not hurt anywhere near as much as someone who is using death to skip past elites. |
