What I've seen of it has not been encouraging. They added a bunch of bells and whistles, but it looks like it's roflstomp easy unless you play on the hardest difficulty, and there it appears to be tedious.

The graphics are downright repulsive. The attack animations are childishly simple.

The original game had a simplicity and sense to it that appears to be lost in the "featuritis" craze. With all the bell and whistle mechanics I have very low hopes that TL2 will be remotely balanced, and it will probably be a game entirely dependent on modding to be playable for any extended period.

Mods make the game unplayable as multi with randoms. It's a game for LAN parties, and I don't do those.

Are you sure the screenshots/videos you've been watching were of Torchlight 2 and not the Torchlight 1 alpha? Because I really don't think we're talking about the same game. At all.

Some things really aren't left up to opinion.

As of right now D3, although I think TL2 has a lot of potential.

As far as PoE, I played it the weekend before D3 came out, and I tried it out again this weekend. Bottom line is that game is amateur hour compared to D3. The gameplay is a complete joke, the level up skill system is boring and nothing but passives (FFX anyone?), and the game is not balanced at all. TL1 and TQ are better the PoE.

Someone mentioned Grim Dawn, which I'm most excited about but it's way too far off to comment on yet.

Lineage Eternal.

Its basically the only one that looks really promising. TL2 looks nice but, the graphics are turning me off BIG, BIG, BIG time. I HATE cartoon graphics. It really bothers me how bad it looks.

I have no love for PoE. Its just boring. I feel no effort put into it and its ugly as hell.

Diablo 3 was such a disappointment. Now I'm only looking forward to LE in the genre.

Lol @ people thinking LE is even a Diablo clone. It's not. The devs made it look like one because of all the popularity of D3 but in reality it's just another asian MMO with a top down perspective. The gameplay isn't nearly the same as a Diablo clone and you'd realize that if you weren't too busy being taken in by the visuals.

Its still an action RPG.

*sigh*

Who said everything had to be a Diablo CLONE.
