Elrobe2Posted 7/5/2012 8:25:48 AM | I have a Barb in Act II on Inferno and I've looked up builds and bought the best armor I can for how much gold I have....and I feel completely helpless. Am I alone here thinking that inferno is just so tough that it renders barbarians helpless? Any good build recommendations? I'm so lost.... --- Where'd you get that suit? The toilet store? |
thousandinonePosted 7/5/2012 8:28:36 AM | Can you list out your skill selections and stats for us?
Stats as in: Damage Attack Speed Crit chance Crit Damage HP Armor Resistances Life on Hit --- Worst thing about grammar police: They're cannibals. If one makes a single typo or error while 'critiquing' someone, they will be EVISCERATED by their fellows. |
thousandinonePosted 7/5/2012 8:29:35 AM | We need to know what you're doing now to tell you if you're flat out doing it wrong, or are doing it right and just need to boost your stats higher.
You're asking us if you'll get to where you're going if you keep driving down the road you're on, without telling us what road you're on. --- Worst thing about grammar police: They're cannibals. thousandinonePosted 7/5/2012 8:40:30 AM | You're too low all-around, unfortunately.
You need more resistance and HP, and you'll want to pile on the Life-on-Hit too. More damage will help as well.
By comparison, my HC DH is currently on Act III Hell, has 27k health, 8k damage... --- Worst thing about grammar police: They're cannibals. If one makes a single typo or error while 'critiquing' someone, they will be EVISCERATED by their fellows. |
Elrobe2 (Topic Creator) Posted 7/5/2012 8:41:59 AM | alright. inferno is so ridiculous though, I'll have to farm for gold somewhere....is it better to go 2h, 1h plus shield, or two 1h? --- Where'd you get that suit? The toilet store? |
Xarius478Posted 7/5/2012 8:59:53 AM | As has already been stated, you need a lot of work.
First of all, get a shield. Your armor is low, but getting a shield + using the Nerves of Steel and Tough as Nails passives (along with Superstition) should help with that.
Your resistances are also low. You probably want to be in the 500-600 range before Impunity for Act 2.
Your Life is also a bit low, and should be at least 35-40k or so.
Since you'll be getting a new weapon, your DPS will change quite a bit, but as long as you keep it above 10k, you should be fine. DPS should be one of the last things you worry about for now.
Ideally, you'd also want to get some Life on Hit. Having about 800+ Life on Hit makes a huge difference, but that most likely will be pretty expensive to get.
As for your skills, you definitely want to fit Revenge and Ignore Pain in there. Most Inferno Barbarians use Frenzy, Revenge, Ignore Pain, War Cry, Wrath of the Berserker, and something else. |
Northern_RosePosted 7/5/2012 9:02:45 AM | I think you need to ask your self this: If you can find good gear on the AH that will get you threw inferno, why would you find it on the Gold AH, when people can put it on the RMAH and make real money for the good stuff that is actually useful? Think about it, they can already farm inferno, where do you think they got the gear to put on the AH in the first place. So if they can already do that, what need do they have for more in game gold?
If you beat hell your game is over, inferno is just pay-to-win. --- It's not that I don't got a full 6 pack, I just lack the plastic thing that holds it all together. |

If you beat hell your game is over, inferno is just pay-to-win. Some people play for fun and don't list everything on the RMAH? Not everyone treats this game like a part time job jeesh. --- Such is your fate. |
