noob question: how do I farm?

#1ThisAwesomeGuyPosted 10/8/2012 12:21:47 AM
I'm level 59 and I'm wanting to get geared up so I can start finding legendaries when I hit 60, but I haven't a clue where to begin. I've tried stacking magic find on all my gear but I could only manage to get 130% MF. I've heard you need around 300 to see legendary drops?

Or would it be more beneficial to farm gold and stack gold find?

No. RnG depends on your luck.

Farm from Act 1, then slowly upgrade your gear one by one. Your destination should be Act 3, but it is not possible to do once you get to Inferno if it's your main char and you dont use RMAH.

All I can say is buy the stuff you think you need to farm and wait for like 300 hours to find something good.

It would be more beneficial to stop playing and save your time, in my opinion ofcourse.

I hate to agree with the guys above, but they're right. If you want to farm for personal use, just look for cheap stuff on AH. If you're looking to become rich in-game, forget about it. There's no efficient way to farm, it's all luck and a 0.00001% chance to get something "good". You'd just end up draining money on repairing armor and not get anything worthy in return.

My advice is, just play for fun. Once you get to act 3 inferno, judge for yourself. If you like the drops, go at it or quit.

Or you could stop wasting your time with the gaming equivalent of watching grass grow and play a better game like Torchlight 2. :P

I wrote down that line and still feel that way.
But besides that I still like the game itself.
Not that it's great in any way or so but it keeps pulling me back to it... Don't know why.

first you need to till the land and then plant your seed. it might be a good idea to use fertilizer or water if you live in a dryer area. wait until your crop is at the optimal stage and then harvest it.

Exactly what I had in mind when I first read the topic title. :)
