Confused about Infernal Machine

Another question here, guys. With the Infernal Machine, how many total keys do we need to ultimately craft the Hellfire Ring? I found my first one from Act 1, I know there are 2 more in Acts 2 and 3, and the plans in Act 4. Do we just need to collect all the keys once, then the portals are forever open?

No, you collect 3 of each key.

Then open the portals and kill the bosses. You need 5 stack nv also.

The bosses have a chance to drop their Organ based on the MP level, mp1 = 10%, mp2 = 20%, etc, up to 100% on mp10.

Better hope you're not unlucky like me and end up with 9x spines and 8x fangs... and 0 eyes

3 keys ( act 1, act 2, act 3) to make 1 machine. what is suggested is to make 3 machines and run all 3 back to back to get all 3 ring pieces in one go. so you need the plan and 3 sets of each key.

9 keys total to make a ring, that is if you get the organs to drop first time around. The portals close when you leave or the lobby closes. Hope this helps.

Same as dizzle. Try it 2-3 times, but if you don't get lucky by then its not worth your time.

Ouch. So this could "potentially" be a very drawn out process? I thought I was almost there when I found my first, and only, key. So, once we collect 3 of each key, then will we need to continue to find keys if we don't get each organ (in your case, for example)?

So to make this as less hectic as possible, you should have it set to MP10 when you step into the portals?

Think of the Infernal Machine as Uber Tristam in D2. In D2 you have to kill the 3 Uber versions of Baal, Diablo, and Mephisto. When you do one Charm will drop no matter how many people are there to kill it. You have to get keys to get to Uber Tristam so you have to do this many times to get the charm.

In D3 You have to farm for keys and organs to get machines and the ring. Even then often the ring will roll crap stats and so you will keep making rings and keep farming for keys and organs.

And MP10 makes it as hectic as possible, you'll doubtfully survive in there. Ideally you should go for MP7 which gives a 50% chance for organs (70% for keys)

I was under the impression that MP7 was 70% for Keys and for Organs...
