How do you guys exactly...

get these godlike weapons I find in the AH lol?

I'm currently in Inferno ACT I with a level 60 WD and around 22k DPS. All the drops are 200-500ish weapons. How the hell do you guys get these 1600-1800 weapons...? Is it through crafting, through random drops? I don't get it... I have a level 10 blacksmith which is the max and everything is pure bs there also.

What's the secret? How to get real weaponry/amulets/armors?

Get out of act 1 and into act 3.

The secret is the random number generator.

You must be talking about 2 handed weapons with 1600-1800 but I've never seen an 1800 dps weapon.

I find plenty of 1k dps 1 handers, even though I never get good mods on them.

But I find a metric ton of 800-900 dps ones.

Kill lots of monsters, thats about it.

In ACT I, or it is imperative I try advancing in the story?

I find myself struggling a bit in ACT I, things are getting tough that's why I'm asking...

If you insist on act 1, make sure you turn MP to at least 1 so all the drops are lvl 63.

What's your battletag? I was just about to vendor a bunch of stuff that didn't sell in my AH tab that you can have for free.

The way I made money when the game first came out was a team of 8 people.

For a while we were able to split up and treasure goblin farmed in act 2 inferno. When we didn't have enough people we were jar breaking in act 4. We filled our stashes and alts with all the good finds and created a corporate paypal account designed to distribute evenly to each of us. We sold many many items for $250 early on. (I have no idea who was buying them, people be crazy).

When those methods stopped working and the auction house started to die down we fell to 5 people and cut the other 3 out (well they quit). We were able to do enough dps and avoidance to farm inferno pony level. Having 5 allowed for us to rotate out a bit and take breaks without stopping completely very much.

That's still the way to do it, but everyone got really tired of it and the money wasn't worth it anymore. We got maybe 1 good item every other run with 4 of us collecting drops and some started cheating and not giving to the corporate tied account to post.

I'm happy to have been in a position to capitalize on it, as brief as it was. But really this game NEEDS a complete redesign on the loot table. It is actually impossible to be geared without 100s of hours and using the gold auction house. If the table was like Diablo 2 you could have several geared characters in the same timeframe farming on your own.
