Will new Legendaries simply exceed current or will they drop old Legendary stats

The problem here is that should they leave current items alone in the new itemization patch, they have to overpower new Legendaries to the point where holding them allows you to completely steam roll even MP10

So, logically they must nerf current legendaries/equips with the itemization patch, or they'll have to make the new ones overpowered.

Which do you think it will be? Will all current equips get a massive stat reduction? (Ie, they become legacy, bonus to damage % gets halved, bonus to crit damage % gets halved)

I dunno about you but I'm looking forward to completely steam rolling MP10.

Such is your fate.

^This...I plan on going from being able to "do" MP10 to "facetanking" MP10. The items you need to watch are those low level items you have (ie Buriza and Leorics) which can roll at higher ilvl's. All the notes I have seen, they are not adding to the max values of the legendaries, but instead adding crazy affix with less possibility of randomness. What was once a godly weapon should still be a godly weapon after the patch.

It might not be like that. It might be that the new Legendaries are slightly better than current ones, and current ones are demoted to hardly as effective...

I don't know what forum you are reading, but I got this from the D3 forums (http://us.battle.net/d3/en/forum/topic/8198733409):

Ultimately, we want to make sure the things that make Legendary and set items interesting continue to make them interesting at the end game, and in some cases they already do, so we just need to fix the other stats on the item.

I see this as "What was once a Godly weapon, will always be a Godly weapon."

Edit: Also you mention that the new ones will be slightly better yet the old ones will be hardly effective? That doesn't make sense at all. That is like the following logic:

old legendaries < new legendaries >>>> old legendaries

I figure if an item is good now it will still be good later. For example Skorn and echoing fury I don't imagine they will make any changes to those. They need to buff everything up to that level. Add in socket rolls for wizard spike and azure wrath, fix all the 2 handers **** damage, etc.

We don't need better gear just more choices, makes no sense to buff everything. And they are not going to nerf our current equipment.

^ I agree. Just like Legacy Skorn at 320 dps before that patch, they were still good after the patch.

I agree with the exact opposite of what you said.

I believe it will be like this.

Current: Skorn or gtfo

New: Skorn or these other evenly valued choices.
